Aquascaper Studio is a free browser aquarium for planning an aquascape before you buy anything for the real tank. It is early, and it is being built slowly and carefully, for freshwater and saltwater alike.
Why start this
I started aquascaping in 2019. Nobody around me was really interested in the hobby, not my family and not my friends, so I researched and built almost everything on my own, on a low budget. It was hard, and it was a hell of an experience.
Aquascaper Studio exists so nobody has to go through that alone, and so anyone, anywhere, can feel what I felt building a tank for the first time.
Aquascaping is deeply visual, but the first ideas often live in sketches, browser tabs, and an aquarist's head. It can be hard to picture how stone, wood, plants, and open swimming space will feel together before a tank is filled.
The long-term aim is to create a calm place to explore those ideas visually. The first version is intentionally modest: an aquarium scene that establishes the atmosphere and the direction of the product.
There is no finished drag-and-drop planner, saved projects, or compatibility system yet. Those are future possibilities, not promises this early preview makes today.
What it is for
Four jobs. Only the first is being built today. The others describe where Aquascaper Studio is heading, and none of them pretend to exist yet.

The flow state of placing a stone, stepping back, and moving it two centimetres. Real numbers and real reasons, written for people who want to understand, with nothing interrupting the work.
Creativity
Build something only you would build.
An aquarium is a piece of art that happens to be alive. You are the artist and this is your studio. There is no single correct scape, and nobody will tell you your taste is wrong.

Build a lightweight low-poly aquarium scene with tank, water, lighting, simple materials, and camera movement.

Develop the builder gradually: configure a tank, place materials, then explore a freshwater or saltwater aquascape.

Keep your aquarium, watch it live, and share it with people around the world who love the hobby as much as you do.

What we believe
Plan before you buy
Aquascaping gets expensive quickly. We want to make it easier to think through a tank before committing to a layout, materials, or livestock.
Build carefully
This is a new project. We are starting with a focused aquarium scene and will add tools only when they make the planning process clearer.
Keep the core free
The core experience is intended to stay free and approachable, whether you are sketching a first tank or exploring a more ambitious scape.
Respect for the living
Aquariums house real animals and plants. As the project grows, useful guidance should support good decisions without pretending to replace responsible research.
No single correct scape
Your taste is yours. Where a choice is risky for livestock, the aim is to say so clearly, then leave the decision with you.
